Given that borders are to remain closed for some time, North Asia CAPE delivered an online digital study tour (10 April to 24 April 2021) with Ishikawa Prefecture to a selected group of students from New Zealand and Japan.

The language intensive component was provided by Ishikawa Prefecture. People-to-people connections was supported through host-family digital conversations. These links was reinforced through digital exchanges with a high school in Japan, which provided the opportunity for our students to learn about the rich history of Ishikawa.

North Asia CAPE also hosted two half-day workshops at the beginning and the end of the online language programme to compensate for the absence of cultural activities and to reinforce commitment to the programme and peer-to-peer relationships.
