50/60/70 NZ and North Asia in 2022 webinars
The first webinar in our 50/60/70 series, “Our Cities and the Climate Crisis”, experts representing cities from cross North Asia and New Zealand join us to compare how our cities are confronting the climate crisis while handing escalating environmental challenges. Our speakers are: Kaori Ito, Mayor, Kurashiki City; Matthew Blaikie, Auckland Council; Denise Yoon, Korea Centre of Sustainable Development; and Dr Ping Jiang, Fudan Tyndall Centre.
North Asia Post-COVID – Pathways to reopening in 2022
North Asian countries were the first to be hit by COVID-19, and as such the first to respond and begin the task of returning to a sense of normalcy in their own societies and economies. Now they’re looking at how best to reopen to the world. In this webinar, our expert speakers from Beijing, Tokyo, and Seoul will discuss and compare the three countries’ efforts to reopen their borders, while striking a balance between protecting public health and economic recovery.
