On 28 October 2021, we partnered with the Latin America New Zealand Business Council to bring you a webinar featuring Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon Nanaia Mahuta together with the Rt Hon Helen Clark for an overview of New Zealand’s relationship with Latin America and opportunities for New Zealand in this large, diverse, and vibrant region.

Hon Nanaia Mahuta (Waikato-Tainui, Ngāti Maniapoto and Ngāti Manu) is the Minister of Foreign Affairs and is also Minister of Local Government, and Associate Minister for Māori Development. Minister Mahuta’s speech can be read on The Beehive website.

Rt Hon Helen Clark has worked with Latin America extensively throughout her career as Prime Minister of New Zealand (1999-2008) and as UNDP Administrator (2009-17).
