Market Readiness Programme – The Rising Star Export Workshop is scheduled to take place in Gisborne on the 19th of March.

Join us for a workshop focusing on the growing markets of Southeast Asia. In this workshop, you’ll be able to gain expert insights from Dr. Grigorij Ljubownikow and Associate Professor Thu Phuong Truong and explore business prospects in the region.

This 3.5-hour fully funded workshop will cover various topics, including trading environments, cultural aspects, insights on in-market competition, market entry strategies, experiences of Kiwi exporters, and networking opportunities with ASEAN connections. It will therefore be helpful if you are interested in exporting to Southeast Asia, working in Southeast Asia, or learning about Southeast Asia business culture and trade incentives.

Dr Grigorij Ljubownikow – Lecturer at the Graduate School of Management, University of Auckland

Greg has a research interest in competitive strategy with a particular focus on competitive dynamics and growth strategies. His research has been published in international journals, and he has more than ten years of university teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Lately, he has been teaching at the University of Auckland Business School in the Business Master’s, MBA, and Executive Education programmes. In his Strategy Capstone course, he and his students work with NZ companies to address their domestic and international strategy challenges.

Associate Professor Thu Phuong Truong – School of Accounting and Commercial Law at Victoria University of Wellington

Phuong’s research interests include financial regulation, corporate governance, corporate disclosure, corporate strategy and firm valuation, and she has been a member of the management committee of the Quantitative Accounting Research Network in New Zealand since 2012.
