Over the last three years, the LatAm CAPE has commissioned Talbot Mills Research to survey New Zealand businesses and the general public on their perceptions of Latin America, covering a range of topics including business, the COVID-19 responses, and the importance of learning Spanish and Portuguese.

In late February, we ran a webinar to discuss the results with several guests. Brad Olsen from Infometrics provided some scene-setting remarks, David Talbot from Talbot Mills Research provided some in-depth commentary on the results, and we finished with a panel discussion featuring Rhianon Berry, NZTE’s Trade Commissioner based in Mexico City, Giuliana Silveira from the Latin America New Zealand Business Council, and Dr Antje Fiedler from the University of Auckland’s Business School.
