Learning languages: the heart of global citizenship
The Centres of Asia-Pacific Excellence proudly presents Step up to the World|Tū māia ki te Ao: ‘Learning Languages, the heart of Global Citizenship’. Sitting within Aotearoa Spanish Language Week, this event will be dedicated to the essential worth of learning all languages in modern global citizenship.
The event will be held at Rutherford House on the Pipitea campus of Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington on Tuesday 21 May 2024, from 5:30pm. The evening will include a moderated conversation, a little language activity, and an opportunity to network over light refreshments.
H.E Maria Belén Bogado, Ambassador of Argentina will be providing some opening remarks and the panel will be moderated by Libby Giles, CAPEs Education Director, University of Waikato.
