ASEAN Forum 2022 – Calling students to apply!
6 July 2022
Calling all tertiary students interested in Southeast Asia!
* Application deadline now extended to 13 July!
We are pleased to be funding a limited number of tertiary students to attend the 2022 ASEAN Forum in Auckland on 27 July.
Held annually, the theme for this year’s ASEAN forum is “Accelerating Towards 2023”. Organised by the ASEAN New Zealand Business Council in partnership with the Southeast Asia Centre for Asia-Pacific Excellence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the forum will highlight business stories of adaptation, change and agility in both products and processes that have allowed organisations to flourish in recent COVID-19 years and prepare to move into 2023.
As a forum attendee, you get to hear from our Prime Minister, Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern, along with a stellar line up of keynote speakers, who will talk about future directions and issues on trade with some of our closest allies in the ASEAN region and discuss opportunities in this dynamic region.
What’s covered?
Registration to the ASEAN Forum and expenses for return travel to Auckland and overnight accommodation (for those based outside of Auckland, if required).
For students based in Auckland you can apply to attend free of charge here
What’s expected of you?
We ask you to report about the ASEAN forum and its topics on social media. You will be required to post on LinkedIn in the form of a written post, a summary of your experience at the ASEAN forum. Some of the things you might want to talk about include:
- What were your key takeaways?
- Did the forum change your perspective of any of the subjects covered?
- Did the forum give you a fresh perspective on the importance and value of Southeast Asia to New Zealand?
Tag SEA CAPE and the ASEAN New Zealand Business Council (ANZBC) on your posts
