A delegation of 10 NZ educators is off to Seoul 17 October, to participate in a study tour jointly organised and sponsored by NA CAPE and the Korean Education Centre (KEC):

The aim of the tour is to strengthen school-to-school links between New Zealand and South Korea and offer opportunities for resource-sharing and network-building around Global Citizenship Education.

During the trip, delegates will visit schools and important historical sites in Seoul, Gyeongju and Busan. They will also attend the international conference on global citizenship hosted by UNESCO.

Lessons and experiences from the tour are expected to inform pedagogies that will better connect NZ schools and students to Korea and wider North Asia.

10명의 뉴질랜드 교육자 대표단이, NA CAPE 와 뉴질랜드 한국교육원(KEC)이 공동으로 주최하고 후원하는 방한연수를 위해 10월 17일에 서울로 출발한다.

투어의 목적은 뉴질랜드와 한국사이의 학교와 학교 간의 연계를 강화하는 것이다.
아울러, 세계시민교육을 중심으로 양국간의 교육자원 공유와 네트워크를 구축할 기회를 제공하기 위함이다.

방한연수 기간 중, 대표단은 한국의 현지학교들과 서울, 경주, 부산 등에 위치한 중요한 유적지들을 방문할 예정이다.
그들은 또한 유네스코(UNESCO) 주관 세계시민 교육에 관한 국제회의에도 참석 할 예정이다.

여행에서 얻은 교훈과 경험은, 뉴질랜드 교육현장에 좋은 영향력을 줄 것이며,
나아가 뉴질랜드 학교들과 학생들을 한국과 넓은 북아시아에 더 효과적으로 연결할 것으로 기대된다.
