Following the success of the Diversifying into Latin America (DILA) programme in early 2022, we’re excited to be running the programme for a second time in 2022 and applications are now open.
Earlier this year, 12 people from businesses across New Zealand completed the first DILA.
Alan Win, logistics and supply chain consultant and educator participated in the first DILA and says that he went into this programme with a vague understanding of how they might engage in Latin America.
“I’ve come out with clearer plan and a network of contacts that I would not have been able to make had it not been for the DILA programme.”
Diversifying into Latin America delivers a comprehensive set of modules over eight weeks on how to engage successfully with this diverse region. The course leverages off the expertise of the CAPE, academics from the University of Auckland and Massey University, and valuable input from Kiwi businesses with export experience in Latin America.
Export NZ’s Catherine Beard, who sits on the CAPE advisory board says diversifying into Latin America makes sense. “It’s a large market untapped by many Kiwi businesses. This course will give exporters the tools and strategies they need to succeed in this fast-growing market of over 650 million people.”
Applications close on 4 September 2022. The course starts in mid-September 2022 and runs over eight weeks with two in-person sessions, and six online sessions. The cost is $250 and includes programme materials, attendance at all sessions, flights, and accommodation for in-person sessions.

Please note: applications will be assessed as we receive them, so apply early to make sure you don’t miss out!
